You need to create a calculation condition...Simon,
You need to create a calculation condition in the chart so that when nothing is selected either in the dimension list or the expression list, the chart will not render.
I use something like this:
GetSelectedCount(_Dimension)>0 AND GetSelectedCount(_Expression)>0

Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01041363415387277791noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3383213983045463195.post-85552669055517440702014-01-03T12:41:02.672-08:002014-01-03T12:41:02.672-08:00Hi,
is there a way to limit the expressions shown...Hi,
is there a way to limit the expressions shown if there are no selections done in the _Expression ? I have multiple listboxes using this technique, and thus if there are no selection in one of them, all expressions are shown. I did a work around with a value that is called "Empty" with an ID that is not related to anything. It works, but it's ugly!!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13482111873478388267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3383213983045463195.post-89083729589794056512013-11-21T07:44:08.395-08:002013-11-21T07:44:08.395-08:00Thank you, if you developed more that technique I&...Thank you, if you developed more that technique I'd like to know more about it :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00301820709817751920noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3383213983045463195.post-80369492220232666212013-07-19T13:03:35.017-07:002013-07-19T13:03:35.017-07:00Hey! However fields I'm renaming doesn't seem to work.

F.ex. in my script I'm renaming this:
...
over_studretn as Uddannelse,
...

and in my load inline I have this:

AdHoc_Dimensions:
LOAD * INLINE [
_Dimension, _Dim_ID
Uddannelse, A
Fakultet, B
Campus, C
];

Fakultet and Campus works fine, but not Uddannelse. Is there an easy explanation?

Cheers
BrunoAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16173048951621179967noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3383213983045463195.post-3328714852392379462013-05-02T12:40:35.066-07:002013-05-02T12:40:35.066-07:00Awesome! So instead of having class, color, month, year, etc. as dimensions - i put class, color, TIME (a drill down group of year and month), etc as dimensions, possible?Sakshi Arorahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05418084216842596298noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3383213983045463195.post-56265878223526583692013-04-29T19:31:15.702-07:002013-04-29T19:31:15.702-07:00You want to look at drill-down groups. With no selections, i want level 1 (country).

I basically want a condition/if statement that'd look at the selections in Level 1/2/3 and make appropriate (a level deeper) selection in the list box (equivalent of "pick your dims").
